Porsche Japan has deployed “Porsche Turbo Charging Stations” in urban areas such as Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, as part of its urban charging infrastructure, including Toranomon Hills. These stations are equipped with 150kW CHAdeMO standard rapid chargers, jointly developed with technology leader ABB.

With the opening of the Toranomon Hills Station Tower, there are now 20 Porsche Turbo Charging Stations in operation at 11 locations across Japan. The stations are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, not only to Porsche owners, but also to owners of Audi and Volkswagen BEVs (electric vehicles) that are members of the Premium Charging Alliance, which launched its service in October 2022.

In addition to the 20 “Porsche Turbo Charging Station” rapid chargers at 11 urban locations, 56 “Porsche Turbochargers” of the same standard have been installed at 52 locations at Porsche Centers across Japan. Furthermore, the company has independently developed “Porsche Destination Charging Stations” as standard charger (8kW) facilities suitable for long stays at leisure facilities such as hotels, hot springs, restaurants, and golf courses, bringing the total number of stations to 280 at 132 locations across Japan.
