BMW M3 EV

Powerful exterior befitting the “M”

The BMW M3 EV prototype, spotted in the snowy Finnish mountains, is heavily camouflaged. Its overall proportions appear to be similar to the Vision Neue Klasse concept. The front and rear fenders are very wide, giving the impression of being lower than the i3.

Looking at the front end, a wide grille is placed between the swept-back headlights, and underneath it appears to be a large air intake, despite it being a BEV.

The fenders are fitted with prominent flares, suggesting a wider track than the i3, and the exterior design appears to be aerodynamic, with retractable flush door handles and streamlined bodywork.

The rear end features a distinctive rounded rear bumper, and the trunk area rises at a nearly vertical angle.

Will it debut with OSX?

Although we were unable to photograph the interior of the car, it is expected to use the latest "Operating System X."

The production model of the M3 EV is expected to be equipped with the “Operating System X” that BMW announced at CES 2025. This will equip the lower part of the windshield with a large display that connects the left and right pillars.

The wide screen is divided into three sections: the one in front of the driver acts as a digital instrument cluster, while the remaining sections are customisable and can accommodate up to six widgets for a variety of displays, including weather and a G-meter.

BEV with over 700 PS

It will be equipped with four motors and is expected to produce over 700 horsepower.

The powertrain will use quad (four) motors, with a combined output of around 710 PS. BMW’s quad motor system features advanced torque vectoring and an output of 1000 kW (1360 PS), but it is unclear whether this will be introduced directly into the production model. In any case, it will undoubtedly result in an M3 with far more power than the current M3 CS’s 550 PS.

The BMW M3 EV will have its world premiere in 2026, and it has been confirmed that it will be released alongside the engine-equipped M3 model.

The Alpine A390 electric sports car, based on the A390 β Concept, is undergoing cold weather testing.

Will the BEV sports car “Alpine A390” be released this year? What are the differences between it and the “A390_β Concept”? [Scoop!]

Alpine announced the new fastback EV “A390_β” (A390 Beta) concept in October 2024. We have obtained scoop photos of the production prototype. This is not the first time we have seen an A390 prototype being tested, but it is the first time since the A390_β concept was announced last year.
