Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE PERFORMANCE Coupe
Mercedes-AMG Coupe’s first PHEV

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE PERFORMANCE Coupe is equipped with the AMG High Performance Battery (HPB), battery technology honed by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team through the rigors of F1 Grand Prix racing.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance Coupe is the first plug-in hybrid Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe, equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, a rear electric motor, and an F1-derived AMG High Performance Battery. Electrification has significantly improved acceleration and power, providing high performance and a smooth, comfortable ride, making it the top performance model in the Mercedes-AMG GT series.
The 4.0-liter V8 “M177” twin-turbo engine alone produces a maximum output of 612 PS (450 kW) and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. The rear axle is equipped with an AC synchronous motor with a maximum output of 150 kW and a maximum torque of 320 Nm, and an AMG high-performance battery developed in-house by Mercedes-AMG. The combination of the engine and motor produces a system maximum output of 816 PS (600 kW) and a maximum torque of 1,420 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 2.8 seconds.
The AC synchronous motor on the rear axle is integrated into the compact electric drive unit “EDU” together with the electronically shifted two-speed transmission. The “AMG Speedshift MCT” nine-speed transmission uses a wet multi-plate clutch instead of a torque converter, achieving quick gear changes with a direct feel and high transmission efficiency.
The car is equipped with the AMG High Performance Battery (HPB), developed by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team based on advanced technology proven under the harsh conditions of an F1 Grand Prix. It combines the ability to generate high power output frequently and repeatedly with a lightweight structure, contributing to improved overall vehicle performance.
In addition, direct cooling keeps the battery at an optimum temperature of around 45°C, improving the regenerative braking function. The regenerative braking starts operating when the vehicle is idling with its foot off the accelerator and the brake pedal not depressed, reducing brake pad wear caused by foot braking.
Exterior that highlights the AMG top model

The exterior features a radiator grille with vertical louvers and twin power domes on the hood, strongly highlighting its status as a Mercedes-AMG top model.
The exterior combines Mercedes-Benz’s design policy of “Sensual Purity” with AMG’s sporty DNA at a high level. The AMG-exclusive radiator grille with vertical louvers, the hood with twin power domes, and the powerful rear section all highlight the car’s status as AMG’s top model.
The side section features the “E PERFORMANCE” emblem, which is the name given to a high-performance plug-in hybrid that incorporates F1 technology. The rear emblem has a red border, creating a design that sets it apart from other models.
The car is fitted with 21-inch forged AMG aluminum wheels. Two wheel designs are available: standard and an optional extra, allowing customers to choose according to their preferences. If the optional “AMG Carbon Package” is selected, a rear wing spoiler with a sporty feel, a flick, and a rear diffuser that reduces air resistance and improves vehicle stability are added. In addition to the ferocious styling, aerodynamics are also significantly improved.
AMG-specific sports seats as standard

The racing-inspired cockpit comes standard with AMG-exclusive sports seats, designed to reduce fatigue even during long drives. The “AMG Performance Seats” shown in the photo can also be installed as an additional cost option.
The interior is sporty yet modern, with a wide range of seating options, seat layouts, a digital cockpit display, and the interactive infotainment system “MBUX.” A 12.3-inch digital cockpit display and an 11.9-inch vertical media display are standard. Each display features content exclusive to AMG and hybrid models.
The AMG-exclusive sports seats (nappa leather) feature a light and slim design with a skillful combination of layers and creases as standard. The seats are shaped to reduce fatigue even during long drives, providing comfort for comfortable cruising. The standard interior is available in four colors, and as an additional cost option, MANUFAKTUR nappa leather with elegant diamond stitching is available in three colors.
If you select the paid option “AMG Performance Package” or “Nappa Leather / Microcut,” you will be fitted with “AMG Performance Seats” with integrated headrests and a racy design. The large protruding side bolsters keep the driving posture correct at all times and support sporty driving. Nappa Leather is available in seven colors, including paid options, and Nappa Leather / Microcut seats are available in two colors: black (with red stitching) and black (with yellow stitching).
In addition to the standard two-seater model, a “2+2” version with a foldable rear seat is available as an additional cost option. By folding down the rear seat, the luggage room capacity is greatly expanded, making it a sports car that is also very user-friendly for everyday use. The rear seat can accommodate passengers up to 150 cm tall (up to 135 cm when a child seat is installed).
