Audi Q4 40 e-tron
Extensive standard equipment and ample range
This time, Audi has added the entry-level model “Q4 40 e-tron” to its “Q4 e-tron,” a fully electric SUV with a compact size that is useful even in urban areas. This model is equipped with a large-capacity battery but is reasonably priced.
For EVs, the most important specification is a sufficient driving range to cover not only urban areas but also suburban driving. This time, Audi has added the Q4 40 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron, which have significantly extended the driving range by installing a large-capacity 63kWh battery in the popular compact Q4 e-tron.
The high-capacity battery provides a maximum range of 412 km (Sportback: 423 km). Under ideal conditions, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes. Furthermore, with fast charging, up to 150 km of range can be achieved in 10 minutes (Sportback: 155 km).
The Q4 40 e-tron is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM) on the rear axle that delivers a maximum output of 150 kW (204 PS), allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 160 km/h. Both the SUV and Sportback are also rated to tow up to 1,000 kg on a 12% incline and 1,200 kg on an 8% incline.
Although it is an entry-level model, it comes equipped with a full range of standard features, including Audi MMI navigation plus, Audi connect navigation and infotainment, a 10.25-inch Audi virtual cockpit, and heated front seats. The price starts at 46,150 euros for the Q4 40 e-tron and 48,150 euros for the Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron.
Natural voice dialogue with “ChatGPT”
The Audi MMI Navigation Plus comes standard with the latest AI service, ChatGPT, allowing you to operate various functions through natural dialogue while driving.
Like other models in the Q4 series, the Audi MMI navigation plus installed in the Q4 40 e-tron has access to the Audi application store right from the start, allowing users to enjoy a variety of entertainment content, including news, podcasts, sports, and games, in the car without using a smartphone.
A one-year 25GB data package is included as standard, and in Europe apps can be activated in the car via Cubic Telecom. The data connection is made directly via the vehicle’s external antenna, allowing for fast content and app downloads without using a smartphone.
The car also comes equipped with the latest AI service, “ChatGPT,” which offers functionality far beyond conventional voice control. The updated voice control system allows for natural conversations with the driver to control infotainment, navigation, air conditioning settings, and more. ChatGPT can also answer everyday questions you may have while driving.
