PORSCHE Cayenne Coupe
A second minor change to extend the car’s life

The Cayenne received a relatively extensive facelift two years ago, but is now getting a second refresh to extend its life.
The current Porsche Cayenne received a facelift two years ago. This was a major minor change that went beyond just changing the bumper and making minor adjustments to the daytime running lights (DRLs), and also included the introduction of new powertrain and chassis technologies, as well as an updated ADAS system.
Porsche, which wants to continue selling the ICE-powered Cayenne until the end of the 2020s, has decided to make a second major update to the current model, which was released in 2017. The second minor change also aims to create a visual connection between the 911 series, which has evolved into the 992.2 generation, and the electric Cayenne that will be developed based on the PPE platform.
Any changes to the rear coming soon?

There appear to be no changes to the rear for now, but there may be some modifications over the next year.
The prototype we spotted this time is fitted with many dummy components and is far from a production model, but the huge air intakes and quad exhaust pipes at the front make it clear that this is not a prototype for a next-generation EV.
The flap-like horizontal panels seen on the front bumper and the pod-like fog lamps below the turn signals are likely dummies, while the vertical plates seen below the headlights are noteworthy, and are thought to be a similar system to the active flaps seen on the new 992 911 GTS T-hybrid.
There appear to be no changes to the rear section of this prototype, but since it will be at least a year before it is released, it is likely that some modifications will be made in the future.
BEV and ICE models will be released at the same time

The ICE-powered Cayenne is expected to be released in 2026 at the same time as the BEV Cayenne EV.
While we only saw the Cayenne Coupe, we can be sure the square-back Cayenne will feature the exact same styling changes. Both are expected to make their world premiere in early 2026, likely at the same time as the first electric Cayenne.
The Cayenne has now become Porsche’s main model. It will be very interesting to see whether the BEV or the engine-powered model will be accepted by customers.
