Girard-Perregaux
Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition
The sixth collaboration timepiece

Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin signed a partnership agreement in 2021. The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is the sixth collaboration between the two companies.
Founded in Switzerland in 1791, Girard-Perregaux is one of the oldest luxury watch manufacturers. Its iconic Laureato, launched in 1975, and the legendary tourbillon with three gold bridges are highly regarded by watch enthusiasts.
Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux entered into a partnership in 2021. This marks the sixth collaboration between the two brands, and the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition was born from their desire to create a product that offers a rich sense of ownership.
Aston Martin’s latest model, the DB12, has been carefully designed to stimulate all the human senses – sight, sound, smell and touch – to create an intense and special ownership experience. With this concept in mind, Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux have created a chronograph that will evoke emotions and stimulate the senses.
Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, commented on the completion of this timepiece:
“Whether it’s designing a high-performance super sports car or a timepiece with Girard-Perregaux, creating exceptional pieces is at the heart of everything we do. Aston Martins are more than just cars; they are an expression of one’s personality and we strive to create pieces of passion – values we share with Girard-Perregaux.”
Rainbow-colored green dial

The dial is a green that is synonymous with British sports cars such as Aston Martin, and is painted in 15 layers, resulting in a beautiful dial that changes color with the light.
The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition features a vibrantly colored dial and a lightweight titanium case with facets that play with the light, revealing a variety of hues. The green dial is crafted using Girard-Perregaux’s expertise and is finished with an intricate process of applied iridescent paint, used in automobiles.
“Green is synonymous with British sports cars and has long graced Aston Martin’s iconic vehicles. Now, Girard-Perregaux has taken an iridescent green from Aston Martin’s color palette and created a unique color for the dial. The result is a dynamic dial that shifts from green to orange depending on the viewing angle, thanks to a subtle interplay with light.
Its production requires 14 steps, and the beautiful green color is achieved by applying 15 layers of very thin paint and then undergoing two heat treatments, which requires a lengthy filtering process to remove any remaining particles that could detract from the overall aesthetic.
The watch also features the same lightweight Grade 5 titanium used in the Aston Martin Valkyrie. This material, which combines durability, precision and comfort, is used on the case, bracelet and chronograph pushers, and its surfaces are finished in satin and polished finishes, creating an appealing contrast.
At its heart is the Girard-Perregaux calibre GP03300 movement, manufactured in-house at the Aston Martin factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds, visible through a sapphire caseback engraved with the Aston Martin logo.
