Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II
A driver-oriented model with a powerful engine

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars held a press conference to announce the latest model for the Japanese market, the Ghost Series II. The Ghost, also known as the “Baby Rolls,” was released in 2009 and has since evolved into the brand’s signature model. The model unveiled this time is the second-generation facelift model, released in 2020, and remains a driver-oriented model equipped with the same powerful 6.75-liter V12 twin-turbo engine as before.
The new model features changes to the exterior and interior, and while the exterior follows the design of the previous Ghost, it adopts a monolithic design that pursues the essence of Rolls-Royce. The front area, especially the headlights, has been given a more impactful shape. The interior uses innovative materials and sophisticated craftsmanship, further expanding the possibilities of bespoke design.
The trim is made of a new material, rayon fabric derived from bamboo.

The front features an illuminated Pantheon grille, creating a clean, contemporary design. New headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs) emphasize the vehicle’s width. The rear features vertical taillights inspired by the Spectre. A new polished design is available for the 22-inch 9-spoke aluminum wheels.
The interior features a central information display housed in a new glass panel. It also features a new “Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet.” The passenger side features an illuminated fascia with a design reminiscent of astronomical photography. The trim is made from a new material, “Duality Twill,” a rayon fabric derived from bamboo.
The powertrain is the same as before, a powerful and quiet 6.75-liter V12 twin-turbo engine combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the drive system is AWD. It features a unique upper wishbone damper, and the planar suspension system works in conjunction with an air strut assembly to ensure comfort. Naturally, it also features RWS, improving stability at high speeds and convenience when parking.

At the same time, the Black Badge Ghost Series II will also be introduced in Japan for drivers seeking even more power and agility. Not only has the engine’s maximum output and torque been increased to achieve more dynamic driving performance, but the exterior also features a bolder design and special details.
In addition, a long wheelbase (LWB) model called the “Ghost Extended Series II” is also available, which has a 170mm enlarged rear seat, ensuring a larger rear suite space.
