A historic car hub in Germany

The Porsche Classic Center has opened in Kassel, Germany.

The Glinicke Group, which operates a Porsche dealership in Kassel, Germany, has opened the Porsche Classic Center, a historic car service center.

Based in the central German city of Kassel, the Glinicke Group, a Porsche sales partner for 75 years, has opened Germany’s first Classic Center. In addition to restoring and servicing historic cars and supplying spare parts, the Porsche Classic Center will also serve as a gathering place for the Porsche community.

With the opening of the Porsche Classic Center in Germany, customers of current models as well as owners of historic cars will now be able to enjoy sustainable support with specialized and individual know-how. Alexander Fabig, Vice President Customization & Classic at Porsche AG, said:

“For many of our customers, Porsche models are treasured possessions in their garages. This is why our historic car support projects are so important to us. We are delighted to now be able to expand our historic car consulting and support services in Germany, Porsche’s home country.”

Kassel will be the fifth Porsche Classic Center in Europe, with locations in France, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland, and will also support 19 classic partners in Germany.

The Glinicke Group, which acquired the rights to sell Porsche 75 years ago, has opened the new Porsche Classic Center at the same location where the Porsche 356 was first sold in the 1950s. Florian Glinicke, Managing Partner of Glinicke Automobile Holding, commented at the opening ceremony:

“Porsche is more than just a car brand. It is a symbol of passion, exceptional quality and the automotive dream. The Porsche Classic Centre in Kassel is a place where the tradition and history of this legendary brand are kept alive.”

“The best Porsche, even if it’s not the latest?” Test drive a narrow 911 that has just been restored after half a century

Since its birth, the Porsche 911 has continued to evolve for over 60 years without changing its basic package. The latest models are of course fantastic, but past models are also very attractive. Of these, the one that people who fall in love with the 911 always end up with is the first narrow-body model.
