First implementation outside of Italy

Maserati Classiche is a heritage program launched in Italy in 2021 with the aim of preserving, restoring and authenticating classic Maseratis. The program now being offered in Japan is a service that examines and verifies the authenticity of vehicles and issues official certification.
Until now, Japanese owners had to transport their vehicles to Italy to obtain certification, but with the start of the certification process in Japan, certification officers will come to Japan from Italy to carry out inspections, eliminating the burden of transportation.
Vehicles eligible for certification include special production models that have been on the market for more than 20 years, mainly those produced up until 1980, and are categorized into Classic (1947-1978), Neo Classic (1978-2005), and Special Cars (such as the MC12 and Birdcage 75th). Up to eight vehicles are scheduled to be inspected during 2025.

As part of this program, Maserati will also begin providing owners with access to a documentation service based on its historical archives, allowing them to obtain valuable documentation about their vehicle, such as production certificates and technical data, upon request.
Takayuki Kimura, CEO of Maserati Japan, commented as follows, expressing his hopes for future developments:
“The launch of Maserati Classiche in Japan is a way of expressing our gratitude to the Japanese owners who have cherished their Maseratis for many years, and also a responsibility to pass on these precious vehicles to the future. Classic Maserati cars are not just a means of transportation, but timeless works of art and symbols of passion.”
The application period for the certification review is from June 1 to 30, 2025. Details and applications can be found on the official Maserati Japan website.
