Ferrari Challenge Japan
Young racing driver takes impressive pole-to-win

A total of 20 cars participated in Ferrari Challenge Japan Round 2.
Qualifying was half-wet, but the final was mostly dry in Race 2. The wet road surface and low track temperature made for difficult driving. Two safety car periods effectively shortened the race to about 10 minutes, but each driver drove at full power.
Trofeo Pirelli’s Sota Muto showed overwhelming speed in Race 1, but in Race 2 he lost pole position to debutant Tosei Moriyama. Moriyama is a young racing driver who will also be competing in Super Formula Lights this season. Immediately after the start of the final, Muto attempted a bold attack, but he gradually widened the gap and finished more than four seconds behind.
First pole-to-win for Coppa Shell

Motohiko Isozaki wins the Trofeo Pirelli Am.
In the Trofeo Pirelli Am, Motohiko Isozaki took pole position in a class record and went on to win the final. In the Coppa Shell, which featured three cars, Masafumi Hiwatashi achieved his first pole-to-win. In the fiercely contested Coppa Shell AM, which featured 11 cars, Ryutaro Saito won. In the Trofeo Pirelli 488 Challenge Evo class, Yosuke Yamaki showed consistent driving to take his second consecutive win following Race 1. Round 3 will be held at Fuji Speedway on June 21st and 22nd.
