Lamborghini F1 car debuts

The Modena 291 Lamborghini appeared at the Fuori Concorso.

Lamborghini developed not only the engine but also the chassis, resulting in the Modena 291 Lamborghini, which was entered into the F1 season in 1991.

The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is a concours d’elegance that judges the style and technology of historic cars, while the Fuori Concorso focuses on racing cars and celebrates the traditions of motorsport. Lamborghini attracted a lot of attention at the two historic car events held on Lake Como.

At the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, a 1972 Miura SV certified by Lamborghini’s historic department, Polo Storico, was the only Lamborghini to compete.

The Fuori Con Corso will feature the Diablo SVR, which is currently undergoing certification by Polo Storico, the 1991 Lamborghini Modena 291 Lamborghini from the Lamborghini Museum, and the 1981 Countach LP400 S Pace Car, whose owner will be presented with an official Certificate of Authenticity by Polo Storico at the event’s venue, Villa Grumello.

At the 2025 Concorso di Eleganza Villa d’Este, a 1972 Miura SV will be unveiled in eye-catching red livery, having received an official certificate of authenticity from Polo Storico in 2018.

The Miura has been an iconic Lamborghini since 1966, and the Miura SV was introduced to the market as the final evolution of the Miura. It was exhibited at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este’s “Class C Renaissance: The Maturity of Post-War European Sports Cars.”

This year’s Miura SV attracted much attention not only as the only Lamborghini in the competition, but also as an official Polo Storico certified vehicle, which is gaining increasing presence at international concours events. The Miura SV also competed in “The ICE” in St. Moritz, Switzerland, making a name for itself at major European historic car events.

On the same days as the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the Fuori Concorso took place in the gardens of Villa Grumello and Villa Scota, an event focused on motorsport and showcasing a number of historic Lamborghinis.

The highly anticipated Diablo SVR made a stop at Lamborghini headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese before taking part in the event, where it underwent the necessary inspections to prove its authenticity from Polo Storico.

The 1981 Countach LP400 S was used as a safety car in the 1981 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix. As a result, it was nicknamed the “Countach Pace Car” and has since become a popular Lamborghini representative in the motorsports world. To coincide with the event, the Polo Storico staff presented the owner of the Countach Pace Car with a Certificate of Authenticity.
