Bentley Bentayga Speed
Driving performance has improved significantly from the previous model
The new Bentayga Speed has switched from its W12 engine to a newly developed 4.0V8 engine. The chassis has also been tweaked, achieving a significant improvement in driving performance.
The new Bentayga Speed, which is said to have achieved maximum output and performance exceeding that of its predecessor, is equipped with a W12 engine, and features the most dynamic chassis settings of any Bentayga to date. This allows for on-throttle slip angle control for the first time in a Bentayga, ensuring driving performance that exceeds that of an SUV.
Equipped with a newly developed 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, it delivers a maximum output of 650 PS and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. Thanks to the latest powertrain, the car boasts phenomenal driving performance on par with a super sports car, with 0-100 km/h acceleration of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is said to be significantly faster than the Bentayga V8 S’s 4.4 seconds and the previous Bentayga Sport’s 3.9 seconds, both of which were equipped with a W12 engine.
The standard sports exhaust system features two oval tailpipes in the rear diffuser, delivering a powerful sound that accentuates the V8 engine’s distinctive character, while a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system is available as an option.
The new Bentayga Speed is equipped with three driving modes. “COMFORT” and “BENTLEY” modes are tuned in the same way as the previous model, covering everything from everyday driving to long-distance grand touring. Meanwhile, “SPORT” mode has been significantly improved, improving steering responsiveness, road holding performance, and driver engagement. The suspension damping characteristics have been strengthened by 15% to a rigidity level compared to the previous Bentayga V8.
All-Wheel Steering is now standard equipment. At low to medium speeds, the rear wheels are steered in the opposite direction to the front wheels, improving maneuverability and significantly improving vehicle handling. At high speeds, the front and rear wheels are steered in the same direction, achieving excellent straight-line stability.
Bentayga Speed exclusive design for front and rear lights
In addition to the chrome “Speed” badge, the headlights and taillights feature a design exclusive to the Bentayga Speed.
The exterior features exclusive Bentayga Speed design elements. In addition to dark-tinted brightware, a chrome “Speed” badge shines on the leading edge of the front doors. The headlights’ exclusive design features a dark tint on the internal structure and bezel, creating a more muscular look. The taillights also feature grey lenses and dark-tinted bezels, giving the rear section a unique presence.
The 22-inch wheels are available in a choice of dark tint or silver. Additionally, for the first time in Bentley history, Speed-exclusive 23-inch wheels are also available. The 23-inch wheels are only available when carbon ceramic brakes are selected, and are available in three finishes: grey satin, black, and black with bright machined. Brake calipers can be chosen from a total of seven accent colors, whether standard or carbon ceramic.
A new option, the Speed Black Roof, is now available. Available in gloss or satin finish to match the body color, the black roof, including the lower part of the tailgate spoiler, creates a strong and confident look.
The word “Speed” engraved in various parts of the interior
Each part of the sporty interior, featuring vibrant accent colors, features a special “Speed” badge and embroidered “Speed” logo.
The interior is designed with a sporty, performance-focused design, and includes the Bentayga Speed’s exclusive Driver Information Display as standard, Speed badges on the passenger side fascia and door sill plates, and an embroidered Speed logo above the seats.
The bullseye-style air vents, organ stops and centre air vent are available in a dark tint finish in addition to the standard chrome finish, while a new Precision Diamond Quilting system is introduced on the seat shoulder panels, door inner linings and, on four-seater versions, the backs of the rear seats.
The colour scheme is also exclusive to the Bentayga Speed, with a subdued dark secondary leather base and the main colour used as accents on the outer edges of the seats, door trim and sides of the instrument panel.
