Updated cooling system

To coincide with the addition of the Lotus Emira V6 SE, improvements have been made to the cooling system across the range, and the eight-speed DCT has also been optimised.

The Lotus Emira, the only model with an internal combustion engine, has undergone a major update. While retaining its aggressive mid-engine stance, best-in-class ride comfort and handling, dynamic performance and excellent aerodynamics, the Emira has been refined to focus on the driver.

In addition to the existing 2.0-liter inline-four turbo “Emira Turbo SE,” the lineup now includes the “Emira V6 SE” with a 3.5-liter V6 supercharger, and the entry-level “Emira Turbo (with a 2.0-liter inline-four turbo).”

Lotus has also implemented updates across the Emira, aimed at improving both track performance and everyday driving comfort. The cooling system now features different routing of the coolant lines to provide more efficient airflow to both the transmission oil cooler and the main cooling radiator.

This has resulted in a significant improvement in cooling performance and a reduction in vehicle weight. The air conditioning control system has also been retuned to provide a more stable interior space even in high temperatures. The engine thermostat operating temperature has also been increased from 65°C to 75°C, improving heating performance under harsh conditions.

The 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) has also been optimized to reduce shift times and improve shift quality, resulting in smoother interaction between the transmission and the driver. New exterior colors, “EOS Green” and “Purple Haze metallic,” have been added.

V6 supercharged engine combined with a 6-speed manual transmission

The Lotus Emira V6 SE is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 supercharged engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The top-of-the-line model, the Emira V6 SE, is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 supercharged engine with a maximum output of 405 PS, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox (MT). A limited slip differential is also standard, and an 8-speed dual clutch (DCT) is available as an option. The introduction of a new compression mount to the 6-speed MT promises more precise gear changes for an emotional drive.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.3 seconds, and the top speed is 290 km/h. Optimized calibration of the suspension dampers and fine-tuning of the wheel alignment have resulted in sharper handling and a more comfortable ride in urban areas. While driving, two chassis settings can be selected: a firmer setup called “Turbo” and a more comfortable ride called “Tour.”

The Emira V6 SE comes standard in a Zinc Grey finish and comes standard with special badging, the Extended Black Pack, 20-inch forged alloy wheels, red brake calipers and a luxurious interior finished in Alcantara and sports pedals.

A wide range of 15 exterior colours and seven interior themes, plus four brake caliper colours and eight wheel options, offer a high level of personalisation, with prices starting from £96,500 in the UK and €117,500 in Germany.
