Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear
The horse his father Jesco rode for the last time

The car’s name, “Thaddeus Spear,” was taken from the beloved horse that Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, Jesko, rode in his final race.
The name “Sadair’s Spear” comes from the name of the last horse ridden by Jesko von Koenigsegg, father of company founder Christian von Koenigsegg. Jesko was a long-time Swedish equestrian jockey, and Sadair’s Spear was the horse he rode in his final race in 1976.
Based on the mid-engine hyper sports car “Jesko,” the car now features newly developed aerodynamics, increased power, reduced weight, a track-specific cockpit, and upgraded brakes and suspension. As a result, it achieves faster times on any circuit, while also meeting regulations around the world and being legal for road use.
Koenigsegg founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg commented on Thaddeus Spear:
“Thaddea’s Spear represents the natural evolution of Koenigsegg. It’s the perfect blend of massive power and technology, sophisticated aerodynamics and stunning presence. It’s a car destined to break records. It’s road-legal, yet its dominance on the race track is truly astounding.”
Newly developed active rear wing

To improve downforce, the aerodynamics have been completely revamped, with a top-mounted double-blade active wing fitted to the rear.
Aerodynamic updates were a key focus of the Thaddeus Spear’s development, with Koenigsegg’s advanced CFD team painstakingly optimizing the airflow around the body to deliver unprecedented levels of downforce and cooling.
A lightweight, top-mounted, double-blade active rear wing is designed for maximum traction on the track, and combined with sophisticated underfloor strakes and wheel arch louvres, it ensures strong cornering ability.
To balance the downforce around the stronger rear axle, the front aero package has been revised, with larger canards, stronger hood vents and new wheel arch rubber shapes. Combined with the Triplex front dampers and active ride height system, this results in more precise steering feedback and more dynamic handling.
Newly designed rear hood air intakes further improve engine performance at high speeds, while Gurney flaps integrated into the front hood air intakes not only ensure optimal fresh air flow but also provide additional downforce.
5.0-liter V8 turbo with a maximum output of 1647 PS

The rear-mounted 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine produces a maximum of 1,647 PS when using E85 fuel.
The rear-mounted 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine has been improved with improved airflow and cooling, as well as updated engine calibration, resulting in a maximum output of 1318 PS on standard fuel and 1647 PS on environmentally friendly E85 fuel. Driven by a 9-speed LightSpeed Transmission (LST) developed exclusively by Koenigsegg, it drives the rear wheels.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Koenigsegg One:1’s debut, the car has been made approximately 35 kg lighter, achieving the legendary 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. Thaddea’s Spear is a road-legal production model, yet it achieves a power-to-weight ratio far exceeding that. During shakedown testing at the Gotland Ring, it beat Jesko Atack’s lap record by 1.1 seconds.
Equipped with a newly developed carbon fiber seat

The cockpit has been thoroughly lightened, with soundproofing materials reduced while still maintaining comfort, and newly designed carbon fiber seats have been introduced.
The cockpit features a new, lightweight, minimalist center console and redesigned carbon fiber seats. Drivers can upgrade to six-point racing harnesses instead of the standard three-point seat belts. The nine-speed LightSpeed transmission is controlled by steering wheel paddles.
Weight reduction has also been thoroughly implemented in the cockpit, with 2.6 kg reduced by reducing soundproofing materials and 1.3 kg reduced by actively using newly developed carbon fiber technology. The car also delivers impressive performance while maintaining the comfort and advanced features expected of a Koenigsegg.
