Improved quietness

As the name suggests, the Lexus LM (Luxury Mover) has always pursued comfort and quality as a moving space. This model was developed primarily to meet the demand for a luxury people mover in the Chinese and other Asian markets, but it has now undergone a major overhaul with a view to full-scale deployment in Japan.

This partial improvement is based on the “Always On” philosophy and is said to have improved quietness to provide a more comfortable interior space for all passengers. Specifically, vibration-damping and sound-absorbing materials have been added and expanded around the rear wheelhouse and tailgate. This has significantly reduced road noise transmitted from the rear tires and vibration noise from the tailgate, further improving quietness inside the car.

Adding downlights to the overhead console

The four-seater “EXECUTIVE” model further enhances convenience and comfort for rear seat passengers. The power sliding door switch, which was previously located on the rear overhead console, has been moved to the rear center console so that rear seat passengers can operate it in a natural posture. This allows the door to be operated intuitively while remaining seated, resulting in smoother entry and exit.

Additionally, along with the relocation of the switches, new downlights have been added to the rear overhead console. The soft light welcomes occupants and improves foot visibility at night or in dark places, achieving both safety and hospitality. At the same time, the maximum brightness of the interior lighting has been raised for both the four-seater EXECUTIVE and the six-seater Version L models.

Additionally, a new tray has been added to the rear center console for storing smartphones and other small items. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a comfortable space.
