LEGO® blocks are building blocks that originated in Denmark. They have been sold in Japan for over 60 years, so many people have fond memories of playing with them as children. But did you know that LEGO® blocks have recently undergone significant evolution ? In addition to the traditional method of assembling standard blocks, more complex and sophisticated products aimed at adults are appearing one after another.
The R34 GT-R introduced here is one of them. As you can see, this was created in collaboration with the movie “The Fast and the Furious.” The R34 GT-R that was featured in the intense action on screen has been faithfully reproduced, even down to its color scheme, and it’s sure to bring a smile to your face.
I was surprised at the high level of reproduction.

What’s impressive is how well it captures the characteristics of the R34 GT-R. From every angle, it looks just like an R34 GT-R, with its straight-line coupe style, distinctively powerful front, and the rear with its large rear wing and round taillights. Opening the door and looking inside, you’ll find the car is fitted with three NOS gas cylinders used in the movie, a touch of intricacy. Under the hood is an in-line six-cylinder engine, with moving pistons. The front tires can be steered left and right, and it even has a drift function, which is quite surprising.
A mix of realism and hobbyism
The side silhouette is exactly like the R34 GT-R, and the livery from the movie has been beautifully recreated.
However, each part has the rounded protrusions and indentations that are characteristic of LEGO® blocks , making it immediately recognizable as a LEGO® block. This skillful mix of realism and a hobby-like feel is perhaps the greatest appeal of LEGO® blocks for adults.
There are 1,410 blocks, so assembling it is quite difficult, but there is a detailed instruction manual so you can easily try it out. Unlike plastic models, there is no need to paint or use glue, so it is easy to try. You can enjoy it by yourself and feel like a child again, or you can have fun assembling it together with your child, discussing the details.
Once completed, it can be used as an interior decoration.
The front tires can be moved left and right just like a real car, and you can also enjoy drifting, a first for LEGO® Technic.
Once completed, it will be a considerable size, measuring 41cm in length, 18cm in width, and 12cm in height, so it will make a great piece of interior decor to display in your room. Building something with your own hands is fun no matter how old you are. We hope you will come and experience the world of LEGO® blocks, which is only available to adults.
