Megaphonics ’25

55 rare Porsches on display

5,500 Porsche enthusiasts attended Megaphonics '25 in Bicester, UK.

Megaphonics ’25, organized by Boxengasse, featured 55 rare Porsches on display, including the 917K and 911 Carrera RSR 2.1 Turbo shown in the photo.

Megaphonics, one of Europe’s largest Porsche events, is a valuable opportunity for Porsche enthusiasts to spend time with fellow Porsche enthusiasts. In 2025, 61 related companies participated, and 5,500 people from the Porsche fan community attended.

The event will be held at Boxengasse, a 40-hectare site in Bicester Heritage, Oxfordshire. Many historic racing and road cars from the UK, France, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy also took part, with guests also coming from Canada, Dubai, Australia and the US.

This one-day event was divided into three different areas, with various exhibits and workshops being held by Porsche-related brands, sponsors, dealers, and restoration specialists. Private owners parked their beloved cars in the “air-cooled” and “water-cooled” sections. In the center of the lakeside venue, 55 carefully selected rare models that are rarely on public display were on display.

“Boxengasse” exclusively for Porsche

The venue was Boxengasse, a facility built for Porsche. This space brought together rare Porsches and Porsche fans.

Boxengasse is a facility specially designed to hold exhibitions related to the Porsche brand. Megaphonics is held there every year. The functional design reflects Porsche’s philosophy of pursuing beauty and performance. After “Megaphonics ’25,” Boxengasse CEO Frank Cassidy explained the purpose of the event as follows:

“At its core, all Porsche models share a common thread. Megaphonics is a fan event showcasing Porsche, but it’s also a tribute to the craftsmanship, design and engineering of Porsche. From the rivets on the doors of the building to the music played throughout the venue and the food served to visitors, everything at Megaphonics has been carefully selected to complement Porsche.”

In the central area, in addition to the latest road models, early racing prototypes were on display. The Gulf-liveried 917K that appeared in the Steve McQueen-starring film “Le Mans” and nine Group C racing cars attracted the attention of many fans.

“We believe these rare and historically significant racing cars deserve to be seen by a wider audience, so they feel relevant to the present day and remind people of Porsche’s history,” added Cassidy.

The first hybrid GTS in the history of the 911. The car I test drove this time was the Targa 4 GTS.
