The XM form asserts the “M”

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has introduced the Range Rover Sport SV, a performance version of its premium SUV, to the Japanese market. The Range Rover Sport SV is equipped with a powerful power unit and has exclusive interior and exterior styling.

In contrast, the high-performance SUV “BMW XM”, independently developed by BMW M (BMW GmbH), will make its debut in 2022. It will be the first M model to be equipped with a powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain.

The XM, which is the top model in BMW’s SAV series “X” series, is 540mm longer and has a wheelbase that is 105mm longer. Conversely, the XM is 60mm lower in height, giving it a sporty stance worthy of the “M” name, even though it is an SUV model.

Are you satisfied with the price difference of 3.44 million yen?

The Range Rover Sport SV cockpit, centered around a large 13.1-inch curved touchscreen, pursues the ultimate in simple British luxury. As an SV-exclusive feature, exclusive carbon fiber components, like the exterior, are introduced.

The XM features the BMW Curved Display, which combines a 12.3-inch instrument panel with a 14.9-inch control display. Compared to the modern Range Rover Sport SV interior, it offers a more straightforward luxury feel, with vintage-style leather accents.

While choosing between different electric systems, mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid, the power performance is almost the same. Although there is a price difference of 3.44 million yen, the Range Rover Sport SV is equipped with a specially developed “6D Dynamics” suspension and advanced carbon brakes. Customers who want a higher level of performance, not only for high-speed travel but also for circuit driving, should choose the Range Rover Sport SV.
