Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS
“Tribute to Transfăgărășan”
The first limited edition car was delivered to Romania

The first of the 10-unit limited edition 911 Carrera 4 GTS “Tribute to Transfagarasan” cars ran on the Transfagarasan circuit in Romania.
The DN7C highway, commonly known as the Transfăgărășan, which connects the Romanian regions of Transylvania and Wallachia, includes the highest point on a paved road in Romania (2,034 m). The 90 km long, winding road is recognised as one of the most scenic motorways in the world.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the “Road Touching the Clouds” and the Porsche 911 Turbo in 2024, the Porsche Clubs of Romania and Moldova organized a driving event with approximately 110 vehicles and 200 guests.
At the same time, Porsche’s customization program, Sonderwunsch (Special Requests), began developing a special model inspired by the Transfägarässan, with the first car scheduled for completion in 2025.
Not just one, but 10 special models will be produced

Rather than a one-off model, Porsche produced 10 Transfägarässan homages for Romania.
Only 10 911 Carrera 4 GTS “Tribute to Transfägarässan” will be sold, each of which has been meticulously customised by its owner together with the specialists at Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Sönderbarsch.
The first car has now been delivered to Romania and will embark on the Transfagarasan. Alexander Favig, Porsche’s Vice President of Individualisation and Classic, commented on the special edition car from Romania:
“The inspiration for this customisation package came from a drive around the Transfägaräsan circuit last year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo. We decided not to create just one car, but to create 10 unique models in honour of one of Romania’s most legendary locations.”
Special exterior and interior features

Each of the 10 vehicles will be adorned with special interior and exterior features, including “Tribute to Transfăgărășan” decals and badges.
The first 911 Carrera 4 GTS “Tribute to Transfägarässan” is finished in the special Paint to Sample colour “Graphite Grey”. The spokes are painted in contrasting “Guard Red” and surround the headlights in the same colour, adding a visual accent to the front section of the vehicle.
The doors feature a subtle “Tribute to Transfăgărășan” decal, and the B-pillar features a special badge highlighting the limited run of just 10 cars. At the rear, the engine grille slats are subtly painted in the Romanian flag’s colors of blue, yellow, and red.
The interior features a “Tribute to Transfăgărășan” motif on the illuminated door sill guards. The “Tribute to Transfăgărășan” text is also embroidered on the headrests, embossed on the center armrest and featured on the passenger side dashboard, along with a special logo.
The 10 special edition vehicles, including the one unveiled this time, share exterior badging, Romanian flag accents, and exclusive interior components, and each owner has individually customized them through the Sondervers program.
