The name “Volante,” which means convertible, was first used by Aston Martin in 1965 with the “Short Chassis Volante.”
The Vanquish Volante, a two-seater that reigns supreme as Aston Martin’s open-top car, is equipped with a 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo engine. As the fastest and most powerful production convertible in Aston Martin’s history, it delivers a maximum output of 835 PS and a maximum torque of 1000 Nm, achieving a top speed of 344 km/h and a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds.
The 2+2-seat DB12 Volante is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, producing a maximum output of 680 PS and a maximum torque of 800 Nm. In addition to the highest level of ride comfort and ultra-luxury, it achieves a top speed of 325 km/h and 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.6 seconds. It is designed for drivers who want incredible performance and everyday ease of driving in an open-top car.
The “Volante” name was first used in 1965, when it was introduced on a model affectionately known as the “Short Chassis Volante.” Only 37 of the Short Chassis Volante were built in one year, making it one of the rarest Aston Martins.
Since then, the Volante name has been used on Aston Martin convertibles. Both the Vanquish Volante and DB12 Volante, which are celebrating their 60th anniversary, feature the lightweight “K-Fold” roof, which offers spacious luggage, quick opening and closing, and beautiful design. The roof can be opened in just 14 seconds and closed in 16 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h.
Anodized bronze accents
The body color is “Q Pentland Green” and the hood is “Q Westminster Green,” with “anodized bronze” accents.
The Volante 60th Anniversary Edition is specially designed by Aston Martin’s bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin. The body is finished in Q Pentland Green, while the hood is finished in Q Westminster Green, creating a car characterized by quiet confidence and meticulous attention to detail. Accents in anodized bronze add a special presence and elegance.
Aston Martin’s iconic vaned grille has been reworked into anodised bronze. It not only serves as an eye-catching exterior element, but also functions as a performance element, precisely directing airflow. This grille fully showcases the expressiveness of the Q design, clearly signalling that the car is a Q by Aston Martin creation.
The special 21-inch Q wheels feature a satin bronze finish with diamond-turned edges, creating an exquisite balance of strength and sophistication. Combined with black brake calipers bearing the Aston Martin logo, they add a powerful, motorsport-inspired look to the car.
The bronze theme continues with Aston Martin’s iconic side strakes. Precision machined and anodised from extruded aluminium, the side strakes draw fresh air through the front wheel arches to reduce lift and improve high-speed stability. Just below the side strakes is a ‘Q by Aston Martin’ enamel badge identifying this special bespoke car.

The interior is perfectly balanced with three colors: Centenary Saddle Tan, Ivory, and Woven Leather.
