Long wheelbase for improved rear seat comfort

By extending the wheelbase by 110mm from the standard model, rear seat comfort has been achieved that approaches that of the flagship 7 Series.

BMW has added long-wheelbase versions to its flagship 5 Series saloon and its fully electric i5, the 525Li and i5 eDrive35L. Compared to the standard models, the overall length has been stretched to 5,175 mm, 115 mm longer, and the wheelbase has been stretched to 3,105 mm, 110 mm longer, significantly improving rear seat comfort.

The rear seats of the 525Li and i5 eDrive35L feature a soft, deep seating structure, providing a comfortable, enveloping, and relaxing ride. In addition to headrest cushions, they are equipped with a center armrest equipped with a storage compartment and wireless charging.

Air ducts have also been installed in the B-pillars to deliver comfortable air conditioning to rear passengers.The car comes standard with a four-zone automatic air conditioner with a nanofiber filter that removes fine particles such as pollen and bacteria floating in the outside air at a nano level, ensuring comfort and livability on a par with the higher-end 7 Series model.
